Job Responsibilities ? Annual Budget? Monthly analysis: budget vs. actual ? Monitor & Review Reserve Fund? Dashboard for Executive Committee & Board of Directors? Audits? Tax filings (990, 990T, 1099s)? Benefits? Payroll? HR Functionso Employee Handbooko Background Checkso Monitor existing and pending legislation to ensure overall compliance with regulatory requirementso Intake of new employeeso Exiting employeeso Communication with staff regarding benefit updates/changes? Provides procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services? Appraises the organization's financial position? Issues periodic reports on organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth. ? Cash Flow Management? Manage Payables/Receivables? Cash Collections? Statements to Donors? Assist with allocations process? Tax Donation Letters? Attend Board, Grants Distributions Committee, and Planning & Allocations meetings? Manage Budget & Finance and Investment committee meetings? Assist Chief Development Officer with the following:Endowment Activityo Review advisements from DAFso Ensure contributions are recorded to appropriate fundso Monitor Annuity Paymentso Monitor Administrative & Investment Feeso GDC activityo Ensure appropriate recognition to donors of contributions to endowments? Assist CEO with special projects as neededCommittees for which CFO serves as lead staff:? Budget & Finance ? Investment Serve as support to the following committees:? Grants Distribution ? Planning & AllocationsDesired Experience & Competencies? Minimum Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.? Minimum Preferred Experience: 5 Years in Non-profit environment; 7-10 years in Accounting/Finance. ?
